Cost of the War in Iraq

$292,189,740,883 and counting ....

This is close to 300 BILLION DOLLARS of our money spent on the war.  Just remember this when you hear about or experience cuts in services and programs and grants for poor people, sick people, our homeless, our aged, our children.  We're spending billions trying to bring freedom and democracy to the people of Iraq, while American citizens here at home suffer.

We're not even paying for it - the bill for what the Republicans have done will come due someday and it will be our children and grandchildren who end up paying.

Endless war, deficit spending, bloated pork budgets, unaffordable health care, violations of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, violations of State rights, escalating violence and crime, poverty and, yes, even children left so far behind they may never catch up.....these are what happen when Republicans control the Senate, Congress and the Presidency.

Please remember this in November. VOTE Democratic!!
