GW Bush Eats Donuts While N Korea Launches Missiles
After years of threats and the breakdown of all communication and diplomacy, North Korea has finally launched test missiles - one theoretically capable of hitting the west coast of the United States. And, where is our leader the next morning?
GW Bush is in a Dunkin Donut shop campaigning, per usual. Reminiscent of "My Pet Goat", the Shill-In-Chief is kept out of the loop while important guv biz takes place in the Office of the Vice President, the real center of power. The saber rattling and rifle cocking gets louder, but fear not, our leaders are comfortably immersed in the serious issues of the nation - flag burning, gay marriage and the War on Drugs.
Uhh ... I live on the west coast. One of my daughters lives on the west coast. My home is here and, although I know N Korea is not a realistic threat right now, knowing they have the capacity to bomb us someday is rather unsettling. Since the Cheney administration is notoriously un-diplomatic, can we trust our government to not go all in? Insinuation of force, hint of force, threat of force and use of force is NOT diplomacy.
