I Could Be You
The United States Constitution's Bill of Rights is intended to protect the civil liberties of American citizens against an intrusive centralized government. The Federal Drug Enforcement Agency has become a tool of that intrusive government.
On May 7, 2005 I attended a legal assembly for Medical Marijuana at a public, commercial business in downtown. Agents from the DEA were watching and within 10 days I had 14 Federal agents trashing my home. They detroyed and/or seized a variety of food, flowers, herbs and medicinal plants.
I am a legitimate Medical Marijuana patient with a recommendation from my personal physician. I suffer from an auto-immune disease called Vitiligo that affects the melatonin in my skin. I found a wonderful ointment product in Switzerland that combines a specific sunscreen (also illegal in the US but legal everywhere else in the civilized world) with the regenerative properties of seed oil, and the stems and leaves of the cannabis plant. I believe using this cream has stopped the progression of the loss of the pigment on my face and hands. It also relieves the primary redness and inflammation caused by sun and environmental conditions. I decided to make this natural remedy myself in my own home for my own use.
I am now being charged with two counts: Felony Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and Felony Manufacture of a Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver. I'm facing serious prison time - but, I have a GREAT attorney so we are going for dismissal of all charges based on the DEA's violation of my First and Fourth Amendment rights. (I am NOT worried.)
This is still America. I will fight them on every charge, at every turn.
My next hearing is set for January 17, 2007 in Superior Court
Please stay tuned. Thank you for your support.
